Mammad Musayev attended the opening ceremony of the “Azerbaijan Wine House” in Shanghai
“Azerbaijan Wine House” opened in Shanghai on November 7. This is the second wine house of Azerbaijan in China.
An exhibition of wholesale and retail trade, as well as tasting of the Azerbaijan Wine House will be held at the world’s first and largest trade zone in Shanghai, the International Trade Operations Center (ITOC). More than 120 varieties of grapes and fruit wines, alcoholic drinks, fruit distillates etc. were displayed by “Azerbaijan Wine House”.
Speaking at the event dedicated to the opening of the Azerbaijan Wine House, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev, Co-chairman of the Azerbaijan-China Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, expressed satisfaction with the successful development of the Azerbaijani-Chinese relations based on mutual respect and friendship and stressed the importance of the political will of the two presidents, high-level visits and reached agreements in strengthening the relations between the two countries. It was noted that Azerbaijan pays great importance to the expansion of economic relations with China and the implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects. Shahin Mustafayev emphasized that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and China increased by 20% in 2017 and China ranks the fourth in the foreign trade turnover of the country. Complex activities are underway to further expand cooperation, China’s Commercial Representation in China operates in China, promotion missions to Hong Kong, Quanzhou, Shanghai and Urumqi, to promote products of Azerbaijan in China and Made in Azerbaijan brand, Wine houses are opened, and products produced by Azerbaijan are exhibited at various international fairs in China. Shahin Mustafayev stressed that Azerbaijan’s wines will be exported to China and local wines are selected with special taste and high quality and noted that Azerbaijani wines were nominated with a high award at the International Wine Challenge competition held in June this year in Shanghai. It was noted that the first Azerbaijan Wine House was opened in September in Urumqi, China. In other regions of China, it is planned to establish wine and trade houses of Azerbaijan.
Deputy Director General of Shanghai “Vayqaoçao Group Co. Ltd”, Can Hao said that the Azerbaijani-Chinese relations are successfully developing in different directions. The “Azerbaijan Wine House” opened in Shanghai will contribute to the development of economic and trade relations and will play an important role in promoting the products of Azerbaijan to Chinese buyers.
Then the event participants got acquainted with “Azerbaijan Wine House”. Representatives of companies in the wine show have been informed about wine and spirits.
The Azerbaijani delegation also visited the network of Direct Imported Goods (“DIG”). It should be noted that the sale of Azerbaijani wines and other alcoholic beverages has already started in the network of “DIG” markets of the Shanghai International Trading Center.
