A training was held for women who want to start their own business in Jojug Marjanli
The training was conducted in the Jojug Marjanli village of Jabrayil region, which was liberated from occupation under the project “Support to Small Business Development in Azerbaijan”, implemented jointly by the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation (ASK) and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SBIIYF).
In the training conducted by the International Labor Organization’s master trainer Azad Rahimov, the ladies gained some knowledge and skills on developing a business plan, analyzing the market, calculating the cost of product and service, and setting up advertising and marketing strategies.
The trainings held on November 14-15 were attended residents of Jojug Marjanli village and some villages of Fuzuli region.
The project, funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), aims to promote entrepreneurial thinking in women and to stimulate the creation of new businesses.
It should be noted that the same trainings were held last month in Baku and Sumgayit cities, Guba, Khachmaz and Neftchala districts. Trainings on the same subject are held in Mingachevir on November 16 and 17.
Finally, a small grant competition will be held among women who participated in the training and prepared business plans. 50 women winning the competition will receive financial support for entrepreneurial activity.
