President Of ASK Met With The Ambassador Of Kazakhstan

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan Serzhan Abdykarimov has been received by the President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev. The Ambassador thanked M. Musayev for the reception and mentioned that Azerbaijanian businessmen are active in Kazakhstan.

According to him, more than 200,000 Azerbaijanians live in Kazakhstan. The ambassador said that trade between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan is $ 229 million in 2019, and the potential is enough higher. The Ambassador said the leader of Kazakhstan was honored by President Ilham Aliyev and added that both counties are active in boosting economic cooperation.

Musayev said that the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Atameken (National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan) and the ASK. Both organizations are members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic-Speaking States. The President of the Confederation proposed the Ambassador to work on a concrete cooperation plan.

The Ambassador said that there is little representation of Kazakhstani products in the Azerbaijani market and they will intensify work in Azerbaijan:

“We are planning to open 3 trading houses in Azerbaijan. We will organize an exhibition of Kazakhstani products on the first floor of the Embassy building and at the same time have begun formalization to create a Business Council between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.”

Mammad Musayev accepted these proposals and offered to fully implement the establishment of the Business Council in the first quarter of the year. He gave relevant instructions to the ASK members for this. It was decided to open trading houses in the second quarter. The meeting ended with great success and the Ambassador thanked M. Musayev for his assistance in resolving the issues on the agenda.
