Two ASK Commissions` Meetings Were Held

Meetings of the Commission were held on “Tasks in transport and logistics enterprises sectors” and “Tasks in Trade Enterprise’s sector”, operating within the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation.

In both sessions, the ASK Vice-President Vugar Abbasov discussed the challenges that entrepreneurs face. In particular, the entrepreneurs asked to bring these issues to the meetings of the Cooperation Councils between the ASK and government agencies, explaining their problems with customs and tax procedures. Also mentioned that the barriers to healthy competition in the country have been expressed, entrepreneurs have expressed dissatisfaction with the activities of some Cargo companies.

Reforms under the leadership of President of Azerbaijan, especially the fight against the “shadow economy”, have been yielding results. Entrepreneurs, who have established their activities following the legislation of the country, support the sustainability of these reforms, saying that the prevention of the “shadow economy” will join the President’s calls.

It was decided to record the problems raised by the entrepreneurs and submit them to the council for consideration and submission to the relevant authorities.

Vugar Abbasov stressed the sustainability of the reforms and called on all entrepreneurs to fully formalize their turnover and said that the head of state has set his will to have transparent business rules in Azerbaijan.

“At the end of the year, the President analyzed the situation in all economic sectors. President emphasized the development of transportation companies in Azerbaijan and instructed to take measures to lower interest rates on loans to the real sector,” said Vugar Abbasov.
