ASK took part in a video conference on “India-Azerbaijan Business Promotion”
An interactive video conference on “India-Azerbaijan Business Promotion, Problems and Prospects – Post COVID-19” was held yesterday with the participation of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation.
The meeting which was initiated by the Embassy of India in Azerbaijan was attended by Mr. DKAggarval, President of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. B. Vanlalvawna, Ambassador of India to Azerbaijan, Mr. Pradeep Multani, Vice President and of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Naveen Seth, Director General of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Fuad Humbatov, Deputy Secretary General of the ASK, Mr. Zohrab Gadirov, Head of the Investment Department of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and Indian entrepreneurs in the fields of tourism, aviation, cargo, blockchain, ventilation and air conditioning, pharmaceuticals and leather products.
The video conference exchanged views on the current pandemic situation in the world and discussed its impact on the world economy. And the need to restore economic and trade relations between the countries in the post-pandemic period was also discussed during the meeting.
Fuad Humbatov greeted everyone on behalf of ASK President Mammad Musayev. Later on he spoke about the effective work of the ASK in the working groups established within the country in connection with the pandemic, and spoke in detail about the state support for the economic and social sectors. The ASK representative also referred to the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noting that there is a great potential for cooperation in these areas, especially in tourism, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, services, consulting, IT and he proposed to develop a roadmap for cooperation in these areas during the post-pandemic. F.Humbatov also noted that the creation of a digital platform for cooperation between Indian and Azerbaijani companies, which could include relevant products and services, will play an effective role in the activities of entrepreneurs of both countries. He spoke about the importance of the role of ASK Business Consulting in this direction. In addition, taking into account the interests of Indian entrepreneurs (especially in the production of pharmaceuticals, leather goods, agricultural products, etc.), he made proposals on state support mechanisms for opening production facilities in relevant industrial parks in our country and promoting investment in these parks.
In the end, the representatives of the ASK and AZPROMO answered the specific questions of many Indian entrepreneurs.
