ASK President Mammad Musayev attended 13th Assembly of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs
On September 15, 2020, the meeting of the XIII Assembly of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) was held in video conference format. A delegation of the Confederation led by the President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Mammad Musayev, also attended the meeting. Vasile Pavlovich Tarlev, Chairman of the ICIE Council, emphasized that Mr. Mammad Musayev, as the Deputy Chairman of the Council, actively participated in all the events of the Congress and made a great contribution to the development of entrepreneurship.
The 13th Assembly of the Congress considered issues such as admission to the ICIE, election of members of the ICIE Council and the Audit Commission, approval of the ICIE President for the next term and information on the priorities of the future activities of the Congress, its principles and forms.
At the meeting, the ASK President Mr. Mammad Musayev was re-elected Deputy Chairman of the Council of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, our compatriot, Elchin Seyidov, Deputy Chairman of the Coordination Council for Relations with the Business Communities of the Republic of Turkey, the Middle East and Africa, was re-elected a member of the Council, and Mahammadali Efendiyev, Senior Adviser to the ASK President, was re-elected a member of the Audit Commission.
The event was attended by a group of heads of national business organizations, as well as heads of various influential organizations, including a member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission for Integration and Macroeconomics, Academician Glazev Sergei Yuryevich, President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Platonov Vladimir Mikhailovich, Gorbulina Irina Vyacheslavovna, President of the Russian Academy of Business and Entrepreneurship, Ageev Alexander Ivanovich, Director General of the Scientific Production “Institute of Economic Strategy” and others.
The speeches focused on the development of entrepreneurship, state-business relations, mutual partnership in the pandemic and post-pandemic period in different countries. Ways out of the situation were discussed.
To develop the Development Strategy of the Congress with the participation of the Council’s member bodies and expert groups, to ensure the successful and efficient work of the members with all available opportunities of the Congress, as well as to carry out relevant activities are the subject to discussion at the next Assembly of the ICIE in 2021. Relevant decisions have been taken to promote the practical application of modern forms of support, including in the areas of law, finance, banking and co-operation, as well as to successfully implement the priorities of ICIE’s future activities.
Afterwards, the Assembly concluded its work by discussing relevant issues. It should be noted that the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was established in February 1992 as a voluntary public association of European and Asian business organizations.
At present, 30 national unions of industrialists and entrepreneurs from 28 countries of the CIS, Central Europe, Asia and Africa are members of the Congress. The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established in 1999 and since then it has been an active member of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
A number of meetings of the Council and the Presidium of the Congress, international conferences were held in Baku hosted by the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Leaders and specialists of the Congress were represented at all events of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Since 2011, Mr. Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been elected Deputy Chairman of the Council of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
