The Government Has Appealed To Entrepreneurs Regarding COVID-19

The Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers issued a statement.

The rapid increase in the number of cases of the Covid-19 virus around the world, including in Azerbaijan, especially the statistics of recent days, has necessitated some changes in the rules of the special quarantine regime.

Due to the removal of restrictions on entrepreneurial activity, persons working in the areas of work and services that are allowed to operate are fully employed. This leads to overloading of public transport, problems with compliance with quarantine rules in the workplace, overcrowding in trade and service facilities.

Taking into account the current situation, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers recommends to enterprises operating in the private sector:

Engage a limited number of staff as deemed necessary and ensure that other employees work as far as possible;

Except in the most urgent cases, employees over the age of 65 should not be temporarily employed with salary retention.
