KOBIA is celebrating its 5th anniversary

An event was held regarding the 5-year activity of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 28, 2017.

The event began with the singing of the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute’s silence in memory of our martyrs who died for our territorial integrity.

Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of Economic Affairs and Innovative Development Policy of the Presidential Administration, Mr. Shahmar Movsumov, Minister of Economy, Mr. Mikayil Jabbarov and Chairman of the Management Board of KOBIA, Mr. Orkhan Mammadov spoke at the opening ceremony of the event.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Management Board of KOBIA, Mr. Orkhan Mammadov, gave information about the services and support measures provided to entrepreneurs during the 5-year period of the Agency’s activity, as well as the innovations planned for entrepreneurs in 2023 and thanked the relevant institutions for their support and close cooperation with the work of the Agency in the past 5 years.

Within the framework of the event, “Taraggi” medals were presented to the persons awarded for their contribution to the economic development of our country and effective activities in the field of entrepreneurship by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 25, 2022.

It should be noted that the list of awardees includes members of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation – Mr. Ruslan Guliyev, Mr. Rashid Chulagov, Mr. Huseyn Buyukfirat.

At the event, the presentation of the “Dayag” award, which has a symbolic meaning and is an indicator of the state’s constant support for entrepreneurs, was also held in several nominations. President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, Mr. Mammad Musayev presented the award to “Caspian Energy Croup” LLC in the nomination “Support to networking of SMEs”.
