Bulgarian companies are highly interested in Azerbaijan
President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations Mammad Musayev met with First Secretary of the Bulgarian Embassy in Azerbaijan Yanko Yanakiyev, and the head of the Bulgarian Trade Mission in Baku IlyanKostov.
Before the main speech expressing Azerbaijan-Bulgarianfriendly relations Mammad Musayev added that the good relations between the two countries’ presidents serve to further expand our economic ties. It was noted that the opening of a direct flight between Baku and Sofia will contribute to the development of tourism in both directions as well as the close cooperation of businessmen of the two countries.
IlyanKostov, newly appointed as the head of Bulgaria’s trade mission in Azerbaijan, said he was interested in establishing close ties with the ASK and exchanging information on business communities.
“As you have noted, there are very good friendly relations between our countries. But these relationships do not meet the current trade turnover. Bulgarian companies are interested in Azerbaijan. Unlike the representatives of our generation, the younger generation in Azerbaijan is not aware of the Bulgarian products. In this regard, it is a good idea to open stores and trade houses in Baku with the sale of Bulgarian products”.
Mammad Musayev offered Bulgarian companies to export their products to the markets of Central Asia and neighboring countries using Azerbaijan’s transport and logistics capabilities. M. Musayev expressed that the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation is ready to support the development of trade relations with Bulgaria and the establishment of relations between businessmen of the two countries.
Yanko Yanakiyev, first secretary of the Bulgarian Embassy to Azerbaijan, added that currently visa facilitation regime between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria is being discussed.
“We have a very good proposal for our ASAN visa. At present, this issue is being discussed at the level of Foreign Ministries. We can simplify the ASAN visa. Time will show how we can deal with this issue”, said Yanyakiyev.
