Entrepreneurs not to lay off employees – WARNING
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, employment issues should be treated sensitively, and layoffs and wage reductions should not be allowed.
The statement came from the Ministry of Economy.
“Taxpayers who have received financial support from the state in connection with the pandemic are under strict control not to reduce the number of employees. If such cases are allowed, appropriate measures will be taken against those payers, ” the statement said.
Financial support of 46.91 million manat was provided to 34,630 entrepreneurs affected by the coronavirus pandemic in Azerbaijan.
Based on the orders submitted by the Ministry of Economy at the request of entrepreneurs, the State Treasury Agency of the Ministry of Finance transferred 28.21 million manat to 11,607 taxpayers to their respective bank accounts to pay the salaries of employees working in the pandemic-affected areas. 23,023 individual (micro) entrepreneurs operating in the pandemic-affected areas transferred 18.7 million manat to their relevant bank accounts.
The Action Plan instructs mercenaries and individual (micro) entrepreneurs working in the pandemic-affected areas to pay a total of 295 million manat in financial support at the expense of funds allocated by the President’s decree. Based on the orders of the Ministry of Economy, the treasury bodies continue funding on a daily basis.
