ASK Working Group discussed proposals on tax benefits

The Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation (ASK) has discussed a draft of major changes to tax and social legislation to provide tax benefits and strikes to entrepreneurs operating in areas affected by the pandemic. The discussions were chaired by ASK Vice-President Zakir Nuriyev.

Zakir Kazimov, a tax specialist, spoke at the meeting and informed the entrepreneurs about the main proposals. Clarification of some definitions in the “Tax Code”, explanation of the proposed changes related to VAT, income tax.

During the discussions, specific proposals were heard on the tax exemption of donations, the mechanism of taxation of retail sales of agricultural products, the problems encountered in the category of risky taxpayers.

At the end of the discussions, it was decided to put these proposals in a single document and send them to the Ministry of Economy and Milli Majlis (National Assembly).
