Discussions were held with entrepreneurs operating in the catering sector
Discussions were held to study impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on entrepreneurs operating in the catering sector.
Representatives of the Ministries of Economy, Taxes, Labor and Social Protection, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation said spread of coronavirus outbreak affected various sectors of the economy, including catering. Ways to minimize were discussed, proposals of entrepreneurs were heard.
It was stressed that Azerbaijani state is always with entrepreneurs and will support entrepreneurs in these difficult times. Measures taken by Azerbaijani government to minimize impact of coronavirus infection on business environment and economic activity were brought to the attention of entrepreneurs, and it was noted that the Working Group set up to assess impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Azerbaijani economy offers entrepreneurs support mechanisms and sustainable economic growth.
It was noted that measures are being taken to eliminate negative economic effects of public-private partnership. Sharing social responsibility of the private sector is important condition, and measures to support entrepreneurs in this direction are being identified. In this regard, entrepreneurs are advised to avoid layoffs, layoffs, corporate responsibility and social solidarity.
