The 5th General Assembly Meeting of the ASK was held
On December 19, the 5th General Assembly Meeting of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.
Prior to the event, the participants visited the burial of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor and commemorated his memory and laid a wreath at his monument. Participants of the event also visited the burial of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva and laid flowers on her burial. Participants of the General Assembly Meeting at the Alley of Martyrs commemorated the memory of our heroes who died for the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and laid a wreath at “Eternal Torch”.
President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev has publicly announced the 5th General Assembly Meeting.
Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev read a congratulatory letter from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the General Assembly Meeting.
Later, the Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev informed about measures taken to increase production and export in the non-oil sector, to develop entrepreneurship, to improve the business and investment environment, to develop state-owned relations and to create new support mechanisms for business. It was noted that entrepreneurial crediting of investment projects on preferential terms as part of the state support system for entrepreneurship, establishment of industrial parks and neighborhoods, agro-parks, business incubators, organization of export missions and other measures is important for ensuring sustainable development of entrepreneurship in the country and increasing private sector’s share in the economy.
The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev spoke about the productive and successful cooperation of the organization chaired by the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and the Head of the Trilateral Commission on Social and Economic Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2016. He noted that within the Commission, the proposals of both employers and employees were discussed with social partners and reached consensus. It was emphasized that creation of favorable conditions for entrepreneurship expansion in transparent business and healthy competition environment is one of the main directions of successful policy pursued for dynamic and long-term development of Azerbaijan. This policy has led to a significant increase in the role of the private sector in the national economy, at the same time creating new jobs, developing the labor market and raising the employment rate.
Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Sattar Mehbaliyev spoke about the successful cooperation between the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan and the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of creating favorable and safe working conditions for employees in entrepreneurship subjects, the importance of social responsibility, and the role of entrepreneurs in solving social issues.
Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Milli Majlis, academician Ziyad Samadzadeh underlined the importance of effective reforms in the field of entrepreneurship in our country and the important role of the adopted legislative acts in the development of entrepreneurship in the recent years, carried out in the field of further improvement of the private sector and business environment. shared their views on the events.

Vusal Gasimli, executive director of the Economic Reform Analysis and Communication Center, Hadi Rajabli, Chairman of the Board of Entrepreneurs Confederation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vugar Abbasov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Banks Association Zakir Nuriyev, DEIK, Turkey-Azerbaijan Business Council Selcuk Akat, Chairman of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, President of the National Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Tarlev Vasily Pavlovich, vice-president of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Vyacheslav Pshenichnikov, President of the Georgian Employers’ Association Elguca Meladze and other speakers stated that the development of the economy as well as the entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan is a result of purposeful measures implemented under the leadership of the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
Later, the speech of the President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev was listened. It was noted that the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan actively participates in the implementation of all decisions and programs aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and development of the national economy. At present, the Confederation includes more than 6,000 entrepreneurial entities, including about 70 economic and social associations, holdings, unions, alliances and non-governmental organizations, large companies, banks, insurance companies and groups. Mammad Musayev delivered a concise report to the participants on the work done by the Confederation during the previous congress.
After that, the report of the ASK Supervisory and Audit Commission was heard, a new composition of the Board and the Presidium was formed, the President and Vice Presidents of the ASK, and the Chairman of the Supervisory and Audit Commission. Amendments and annex to the Charter of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been adopted, which facilitates the improvement of the Confederation`s Management Bodies.
Mammad Musayev was again elected the President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the unanimous decision of the General Assembly Meeting representatives during the open voting.
On behalf of the participants of the 5th General Assembly Meeting of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an appeal was received to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
The entrepreneurs expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the care and continuous support provided to them and underlined that the Confederation would continue its activity in the direction of sustainable development of our country and the formation of stable and healthy market relations in line with the socio-economic development strategy implemented by the head of state.
