Mammad Musayev: President Ilham Aliyev has always been keeping on focus the development of entrepreneurship

Speaking at a press conference at the Executive Secretariat of the New Azerbaijan Party on October 24, the President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK) Mammad Musayev, emphasized that the independent Azerbaijan had undergone great development over the last period and the evidences of successful results of 9 months of current year confirmed it again. He stated that at the economic meeting held on October 15, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev appreciated the socio-economic indicators for the first 9 months of this year.

He stressed out that as a result of complex measures and radical reforms implemented under the leadership of the Head of the State during this period, GDP increased by 2.5% and non-oil GDP by 3.5%. The share of the non-oil sector in GDP was 60.7%. In general, the share of private sector in GDP is 85%:

The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK) includes in more than 6,000 entrepreneurs and 61 associations. One of the key points in the speech of the head of state at the meeting was the importance of reforms in Azerbaijan. Expressing appreciation of the reforms carried out in the country, President Ilham Aliyev said successful reforms in Azerbaijan are also highly appreciated by leading international financial institutions. Today Azerbaijan is among the most reformed countries in the world. It’s no coincidence that Azerbaijan is ranked among the top 20 most reformist countries in the Doing Business report. But Azerbaijan is not content with these successes. The reforms will be continued in a consistent manner. The head of state has set serious tasks in this regard.”

Saying entrepreneurs are taken care of the state, the head of the ASK thanked to Mr. President on behalf of entrepreneurs for this care. He said that the Head of the State always focused on eliminating issues that hindered the development of entrepreneurship and gave a relevant support the development of small and middle entrepreneurs.

M. Musayev mentioned that the upgrading of the structure of the Ministry of Economy is favorable for entrepreneurs. According to him, one of the main goals of the ASK is to attract foreign investment in the non-oil sector.
