The Next Meeting Of The Cooperation Council Was Held

On November 8, the next meeting of the Cooperation Council established between the State Customs Committee and the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation was held.

In the meeting First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Major General of Customs Service Ismail Huseynov, Heads of General Administration, Vice-President of the ASK Vugar Abbasov and heads of associations attended.

The First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Ismail Huseynov said the meeting was of particular importance to both sides. He spoke about the innovative reforms implemented by President Ilham Aliyev in the customs system. He noted that innovations played an important role in improving the business environment.

According to Ismail Huseynov, the implementation of the Green Corridor system has played an important role in business development, facilitating trade, facilitating a voluntary compliance culture, enhancing the export potential of the country, and building business relations in line with modern management principles.

The first deputy chairman of the committee said that appeals to the Green Corridor system had been increased, and that about 500 foreign trade participants had been granted permanent access to the system.

Ismail Huseynov said that the customs service has made much progress and that reforms have been carried out to streamline customs regulation. The First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, who shared his thoughts on the development of e-customs services, said that the number of services is currently increasing, systematic automation of mobile customs services, customs control, and customs clearance, and further improvement of electronic payments.

Ismail Huseynov, referring to the projects to be implemented by the customs authorities shortly, said that the establishment of the “electronic queue” system is important for ensuring faster access to the customs border points and a more affordable supply chain.

Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Vugar Abbasov spoke about reforms carried out by President Ilham Aliyev in the customs system and said that all this had a positive impact on the activities of entrepreneurs.

According to the ASK Vice President, most of the issues raised by entrepreneurs after the May meeting have been resolved. Abbasov thanked all the staff, including the chairman of the SCC, Safar Mehdiyev.

The head of the delegation spoke at the sessions of the ASK commissions to convey to entrepreneurs the issues raised by the customs, and the session continued in the form of a constructive discussion.

Following the meeting, the members of the ASK- Kamran Habibov, Chairman of the Commission for Transport and Logistics Affairs, Elkhan Bashirov, head of Matanat-A, Head of the Packaging Association Rashid Chulagov, Head of the Furniture Association, “Azersun” In his speech, Shahverdiyev highly appreciated the recent reforms in the customs system and the steps taken towards the development of customs and business cooperation. They gave concrete feedback and suggestions on the elimination of potential problems, and also answered the questions of entrepreneurs.

In the end, Vice-President of the ASK Vugar Abbasov, on behalf of the entrepreneurs, thanked the Committee and the participants for the high level of efficiency of the meeting, taking steps to increase the share of a sustainable economy in Azerbaijan, create new jobs and establish a transparent business environment. He said that it would give high results.
