The meeting of the Innovation and Digital Technologies Commission of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation was held
The meeting of the Commission on Innovation and Digital Technologies of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation was held on the 28th of January.
The commission chaired by Elchin Aliyev an expert with high experience in this field announced its action goals for 2021.
By opening the meeting, Aliyev said that the appointment of Rashad Nabiyev to the post of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies shows that new priorities have been set in this area. During the online meeting the Minister, Mr President mentioned that the cities and villages to be built in the liberated areas should be based on the concept of “smart city, smart village”. Great attention should be attributed to the issues related to the strengthening of human resources in education and etc.
Emanating from the tasks, Aliyev informed on the goals set by the Commission. According to the goals, the application of technologies, alternative energy technologies in the liberated territories, public-private partnership, strengthening Azerbaijan’s image as a technology producer, bringing innovation closer to education, training new professions, improving the conditions for startups in Azerbaijan, focus will be on the implementation of the processes related to the fourth industrial revolution in our country, increasing the export potential of IT companies, special attention to military technology and the development of artificial intelligence.
In this regard, the action directives of the working groups of the Commission have been identified. Commission members Gachay Mirzayev, Ilham Namazov, Rauf Hasanov, Jayhun Mollazade, Rufat Hajialibayov, Igor Yakovenko, Firudin Akbarov took part in the discussions. Experts have made proposals on the transition to more attractive conditions in the tax policy applied to IT companies, the reinforcement of startups, intellectual property, etc. in order to avoid brain drain from the country. It was decided to submit the proposals to the government through the ASK within the framework of the public-private dialogue platform.
