Alat Free Economic Zone was presented to members of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs
The Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation (ASK) organized a presentation of the Alat Free Economic Zone for entrepreneurs. The online meeting was attended by President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev, Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone Valeh Alasgarov, officials of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, ASK representatives abroad and approximately 100 entrepreneurs.
By opening the event with an entrance speech, President Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev emphasized that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva have implemented effective policies including the liberation of occupied territories. The irrefutable fact that the foundation projects, construction work meeting modern standards and is based on the latest technologies show that our lands, which have been occupied for 30 years, will become the most modern settlements in our country. M.Musayev stressed that in modern times, free economic zones are one of the important links in the foreign trade strategy, as well as attracting capital to the country’s economy, creating favourable conditions for expanding both the range and geography of the export basket. “Azerbaijan’s location in the centre of the North-South, East-West trade routes, as well as the closest to major markets will increase the economic efficiency of the Free Trade Zone, allowing it to serve the markets of Central Asia, Iran, Russia, Turkey and the Middle East,” – President of the Confederation informed.
Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone, informed the entrepreneurs about the work being accomplished. V.Alasgarov provided comprehensive information regarding the legislation, conditions, and rules of the economic zone. V.Alasgarov said that based on instructions given by President Ilham Aliyev, relevant work has already begun to launch the Alat Free Economic Zone and meetings with investors have commenced. “The Alat Free Economic Zone will operate and be managed on the best terms and conditions in the region. We are ready to spend time and provide more information to every entrepreneur who is willing to work” V.Alasgarov said.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Director of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency Natig Hasanov, ASK Vice Presidents Vugar Abbasov, Vugar Zeynalov, Deputy Chairman of the Alat Free Economic Zone Ismayil Manafov, Alat Free Economic Zone Authority Khaver Baharova, the manager of the company, and about 100 entrepreneurs took part.
