ASK President Mammad Musayev Met With Newly Appointed Ambassador Extraordinary And Plenipotentiary Of The Republic Of Azerbaijan To Malaysia Irfan Davudov

On July 30, 2021, Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK) met with Irfan Davudov, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Malaysia.

During the meeting, parties discussed the issues of increasing trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Malaysia, attracting investors from Malaysia to Azerbaijan, expanding cooperation with business organizations operating there and other issues. At the same time, an agreement was reached on revitalization of cooperation with Malaysian business support organizations and organization of mutual business visits through the diplomatic representation of our country in Malaysia.

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Malaysia amounted to about 120 million US dollars, but there are broader prospects for cooperation in sectors such as Information Technology (IT), education, tourism.

At the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on the provision of appropriate support to the ASK in the appointment of ASK representative in Malaysia.

The meeting continued with the discussion on issues of mutual interest.
