Azerbaijani Entrepreneurs Took Part In A Business Forum In Hungary

The business forum of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held in Budapest, Hungary on September 23. Our country was represented at the forum by member entrepreneurs of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation.

The event was organized by the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA). Approximately, 120 entrepreneurs attended in the event.

Vice-presidents of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Vugar Zeynalov and Vugar Abbasov spoke on behalf of our delegation at the forum. The speeches embraced detailed information on the economic opportunities of Azerbaijan, the business environment, investment opportunities in our liberated territories to Hungarian, Turkish, Uzbek, Kazakh and Kyrgyz entrepreneurs.

At the same time, 4 B2B meetings were held on agriculture, food industry, water industry, health, information and communication sectors.

It should be noted that in 2020, Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with the member states of the Turkic Council and Hungary amounted to $ 4.5 billion. This is 18.4 percent of the country’s total foreign trade turnover. In addition, the trade turnover between Hungary and Azerbaijan last year amounted to $ 38 million.

The forum discussed future trade and investment opportunities between our countries.

For information: the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 2019. The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK), the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ATAMEKEN), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan are members. The Hungarian Chamber of Industry participates as an observer.
