A meeting with the Banks Association of Turkey was held at the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation
On October 27, the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation hosted a meeting with a delegation led by the Chairman of the Banks Association of Turkey, CEO of Ziraat Bank Alpaslan Cakar.
President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev welcomed the guests, expressed satisfaction with the meeting of the delegation from the brotherly country, and emphasized the high level cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan in all sectors of the economy, noted friendship and brotherhood among the two countries leaders.
During the meeting, he briefed the guests on business opportunities in the country, the work done to achieve sustainable economic development, the favorable conditions created for attracting foreign investment to the country, as well as the structure of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation.
It was noted that entrepreneurs are expanding cooperation opportunities in order to increase trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey and preparing for the next business forum of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry to be held in Istanbul on November 10, this year.
Alpaslan Cakar expressed satisfaction with the participation of the Azerbaijan Banks Association in the tree planting campaign carried out by the Banks Association of Turkey during the forest fires. He touched upon the economic processes related to the rise in prices for raw materials and food in the world, and informed about the activities of Ziraat Bank in Turkey and other countries.
Alpaslan Cakar also informed participants of the meeting about Ziraat Bank’s plans for Azerbaijan: “New branches will be opened in Nakhchivan and Karabakh.”
President of the Azerbaijan Banks Association Zakir Nuriyev said there was a need to further deepen relations between the banking sectors of the two countries. Z.Nuriyev offered to expand cooperation in customer service with Turkey, one of Azerbaijan’s largest trading partners in the non-oil sector.
Then entrepreneurs Jamal Yangın, Huseyn Boyukfirat and other participants highlighted the support of Ziraat Bank in the development of agricultural and livestock potential of Karabakh.
The meeting continued with a discussion of issues of mutual interest, and the future prospects of cooperation between the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and the Banks Association of Turkey.
