Turkic Business Forum Was Held In Istanbul

On November 10, 3rd General Assembly and Business Forum of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held in Istanbul, Turkey. Azerbaijan was represented at the assembly with a delegation led by President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK) Mammad Musayev. The delegation from Azerbaijan consist of 35 entrepreneurs, including Chairman of the Management Board of the Small and Medium Business (SMB) Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Orkhan Mammadov, Acting President of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and Chairman of the Nakhchivan Entrepreneurs Confederation Vugar Abbasov, members of the ASK Presidium Sakina Babayeva and Shahmar Valiyev.

Speaking at the Assembly, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke about the expectations of the members of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry from the Istanbul meeting.

Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev informed the participants about the prospects of implementing the proposal to establish an Investment Fund of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev said that every year on November 10, Ataturk, a genius of the entire Turkic world, is commemorated with love and compassion. He noted that a new era has begun in the Azerbaijani economy under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. The future priorities and potential of the country’s economy have expanded. Liberated territories will again serve our development as part of our economy.

The laying of the foundation of the Zangazur corridor connecting Turkey and Azerbaijan via Nakhchivan with the participation of President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the importance of these historical events for the great Turkic community were stressed.

Then, the establishment of Committees for Young and Women Entrepreneurs within the Chamber was discussed at the ongoing working session.

The business forum held after the opening ceremony was attended by more than 300 entrepreneurs representing Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.
