A meeting of the “Working Commission on Tourism and Services” was held
A meeting of the “Working Commission on Tourism and Services” operating within the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs was held. During the meeting the upcoming “Entrepreneurs’ Day”, the results of the commission’s activities in 2021 and the work to be done this year, the “Action Plan for the Year of Shusha” and the action plan to declare Shusha the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2023 were discussed.
The head of the commission Ruslan Guliyev said that the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan is one of the public organizations that has a special place in the economic development of the country. The high level of state support for the development of entrepreneurship and the great attention paid by President Ilham Aliyev further increase the determination of entrepreneurs to work.
“These nation and entrepreneurs, who won the 44-day Karabakh war, will contribute to the return of Karabakh to its former glory,” Guliyev said, and noted the history of the April 25 Entrepreneurs’ Day.
The national leader Heydar Aliyev’s meeting with the entrepreneur on April 25, 2002 marked the beginning of a new stage in the development of the private sector. He informed about the initiatives and decisions of the Great Leader in the development of tourism. He noted that the Law on Tourism was adopted by the Milli Majlis in 1999, with the establishment of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism by Heydar Aliyev’s order dated April 18, 2001, extensive work was started in this area, and Azerbaijan was admitted to the WTO that year.
Then speeches were heard on the issues reflected on the agenda and proposals for the creation of new tourism routes were discussed. The representative of the State Tourism Agency Gunay Bayramova made statements on the issues raised.
ASK Acting Deputy Secretary General Kristina Mammadova, representative of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau Gunel Badalova, members of the Commission – Samir Dubandi, Goydaniz Gahramanov, Ahmad Gurbanov congratulated entrepreneurs on the holiday.
