“Entrepreneurs’ Day” was celebrated in Goranboy region

According to the Order of President Ilham Aliyev on the establishment of “Day of Entrepreneurs in the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated April 21, 2016; April 25 is marked as “Day of Entrepreneurs” in Azerbaijan.

Goranboy region is one of the regions where this day is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Traditionally, on the eve of the Day of Entrepreneurs, a business forum was held in Goranboy. First, the participants visited the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Then the event continued at the Heydar Aliyev Center. The forum was attended by the head of the Goranboy District Executive Power Maharram Guliyev, Vice-president of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Vugar Zeynalov, intellectuals, entrepreneurs and public figures.

Opening the event, Maharram Guliyev said that the comprehensive reforms in the economy and public administration under the leadership of National Leader Heydar Aliyev have given a strong impetus to the formation of all sectors of the economy, including entrepreneurship. The meeting of the great leader with local entrepreneurs at the Presidential Palace on April 25, 2002 also left an indelible mark on the memory of businessmen. That historic meeting was the impetus for taking important steps in the development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.

“Entrepreneurs felt that the state was behind the entrepreneur, and the state, which is interested in creating new jobs and bringing modern technology to the country, praised such activity. This is the reality of the day. The basis of sympathy for entrepreneurs is their role in strengthening the state, reducing unemployment and increasing budget revenues. “If an entrepreneur brings income to the budget, creates new jobs, brings new technologies to the country and plays a role in meeting the needs of the people, why not take care of him?!” said the chief executive.

Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Vugar Zeynalov called the establishment of the Day of Entrepreneurs a clear example of the President’s attention and care for the socio-economic development of the country, employment, as well as the development of entrepreneurship, especially the non-oil sector.

“Today, every entrepreneur understands that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, we still have a number of important tasks ahead of us to build a strong and modern Azerbaijan. “Azerbaijan is one of the countries that has carried out the most reforms to create a favorable business environment for entrepreneurs,” said the vice-president of the Confederation.

At the meeting, entrepreneurs spoke about the opportunities created for them, the attention and care of local authorities to solve problems. It was noted that the care shown to the development of entrepreneurship in Goranboy in recent years has enabled them to expand their activities.

At the end of the event, 8 local entrepreneurs were awarded diplomas in various nominations and the Honorary Decree of the Goranboy District Executive Power. Entrepreneur Khalig Mustafayev, who distinguished himself during the year, was awarded the diploma “Entrepreneur of the Year”.
