The presentation of the “Brotherly Help” platform created to support Türkiye was held
In order to support the victims of the strong earthquake in Türkiye, the “Brotherly Help” platform was created.
On February 8, at “Baku SME House” in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized by the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK), with the support of the MUSIAD Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Business Association (ATİB), Türkiye-Azerbaijan Businessmen and Industrialists Public Union (TÜİB), as well as a number of public unions, established “Brotherly Help” platform was presented.
Mr. Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Rashad Jabirli, Head of MUSIAD Azerbaijan, Mr. Hüseyin Büyükfirat, Chairman of TUIB, Mr. Rafig Garayev, Member of the Board of ATIB, Mr. Ahmet Tecim, Chairman of the Youth Aid Foundation and Mr. Tural Efendiyev Chairman of TUMIB spoke at the event held with the participation of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs, business associations and public associations.
It was noted that in accordance with the spirit of “one nation and two states”, Türkiye and Azerbaijan are always together in good and sad days and support each other in difficult times. Azerbaijan is deeply saddened by the large number of casualties and injuries caused by the strong earthquake in Türkiye and our country shares the pain of our brother Türkiye. From ordinary citizens to state and private institutions, everyone is ready to support Türkiye. The business community of Azerbaijan also actively participates in the aid process and does not spare its support.
Yesterday night, with the support of our local entrepreneurs, humanitarian aid consisting of warm clothes, food, personal hygiene products, and container-type houses for living was loaded onto trucks. At the next stage, these trucks will be sent to Türkiye through the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Azerbaijan. It is commendable that in the process of support, local businessmen involve their company’s vehicles and trucks in the process free of charge. In order to effectively organize and coordinate the aid process and provide aid according to the need, the “Brotherly Help” platform was created.
Then the Chairman of the Management Board of MUSIAD Azerbaijan, Mr. Rashad Jabirli, made a presentation about the “Brotherly Help” platform, and pointed out that the platform will work in coordination with the relevant state institutions of Azerbaijan and Türkiye to help those affected by the earthquake. R. Jabirli also informed about the bank account opened for those who want to join the “Brother Help” platform, as well as the places reserved for things and other help.
Within the framework of the event, a video about the “Brotherly Help” platform was presented, and a statement was made on behalf of the platform.
