Networking Events Planned To Be Held Between Azerbaijan And Central Baltic Region Companies

On March 28, The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs’ Organizations (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted a meeting with Ms. Liga Siceva, Head of the EU project department at the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding “LEF network Azerbaijan” project which has to be implemented in Azerbaijan together with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences of Finland.

Ms. Sycheva provided information about the project goals and noted that it will contribute to enhancing economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the countries of the Central Baltic region (Latvia, Estonia, Finland), and promote networking among business communities.

Ms. Sycheva also acknowledged that ICT, green technologies, higher education, interior design, and products for interior design were identified as the main target sectors.

According to her, as part of the three-year project, 3 business missions will be organized to Finland, Estonia, and Latvia, as well as 1 to Azerbaijan. Moreover, the holding of business forums is also foreseen. She emphasized that the first business mission will take place in the autumn of this year, and 15 companies from Finland, Estonia, and Latvia will be involved in it, as well as 8 companies from Azerbaijan.

Mr. Vugar Zeynalov, Vice-President of the Confederation, shared his views on the existing possibilities of ASK and cooperation opportunities within the project.
