Kazakhstan-Azerbaijani business forum was held
The Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan business forum was held on April 5 with the support of the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs and the organization of Kazakhstan’s GazTrade state company. At the forum held with the participation of official representatives of both countries, contracts worth more than 30 million US dollars were signed between the companies of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Serjan Abdikarimov, emphasized that the fraternal relations between our countries are further strengthened by economic relations.
The Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Kairat Torebayev, said that last year the volume of trade turnover between the two countries was 262 million US dollars. He also noted that 1,170 companies with Azerbaijani capital are operating in Kazakhstan.
Rufat Atakishiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, informed about the measures taken by the Agency to deepen the economic relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
Zohrab Gadirov, deputy executive director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan – AZPROMO, said that 150 companies with Kazakh capital are currently operating in Azerbaijan, and that there are fertile conditions for foreign investment in our country.
Within the framework of the forum, more than 20 companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in B2B meetings within the framework of trade and economic business mission.
Among Kazakh companies, about 10 companies are producers of food and agricultural products, and more than 10 companies are producers of oil equipment, electrotechnical products, furniture, special work clothes, fertilizers, construction and metal materials, military and special equipment.
