Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum Will Be Held

Today, at the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation discussed the formulation of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Business Council and the events to be held in the coming months. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Kairat Osmonaliyev and Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Bakhtiyar Mahammadziyev, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mr. Vugar Zeynalov, Chairman of the Ganja Businessmen’s Union Mr. Zafar Mammadov and other persons took part in the meeting.

Ambassador Kayrat Osmonaliyev said that Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations have risen to the level of strategic partnership in recent years. Emphasizing that the trade turnover between our countries is 8-9 million US dollars, the ambassador noted that the potential for cooperation is greater. According to him, 21 thousand Azerbaijanis live in Kyrgyzstan. “All of us should do our best for the development of our relations,” said the ambassador. He drew special attention to the transit possibilities of Azerbaijan by passing through Kyrgyzstan for the delivery of East Asian products to Europe. He emphasized that it is necessary to look at the possibilities and price policy of Alat and Turkmenbashi ports for the development of transport and logistics. The ambassador said that within the framework of the international forum to be held in Bishkek on July 26, 2023, the Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan business forum will be held on July 25.

Vugar Zeynalov, vice-president of ASK, thanked the ambassador for information and said that the members of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Business Council were elected from the Azerbaijani side. At the same time, he expressed his proposals regarding the issues that may be included in the agenda of the Council, which is planned to be held in Azerbaijan in September of this year. He proposed to discuss issues related to the opening of logistics, agriculture, tourism, and direct air transport at the meeting of the Business Council.
