“Astana – the city of the future” international forum was held

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the city of Astana, Kazakhstan, an international forum called “Astana – the city of the future” was held on July 2-5. A plenary meeting dedicated to medical tourism was organized within the framework of the forum.

Our country was represented at the event by the Chairman of the Commission of work on “tourism and service” of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, Mr. Ruslan Guliyev. R.Guliyev spoke on the topic “The role of associative activity and NGO structures in the development of cross-country health tourism”.

In the session with the participation of influential experts on the development of the global medical tourism market, the current state of the market was examined and a presentation was made on the main factors of its development. It was noted that the potential donor countries of medical tourism for the city of Astana are Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China and Israel. More people from these countries have come to Kazakhstan for treatment in recent years.

After the event, the participants visited the medical tourism enterprises operating in Astana.
