The Secretary General Of The Confederation Made A Speech At The International Forum

On November 21-22nd, an international conference on “Gender Forum – Green Economy” was held in Manila organized by the Asian Development Bank. At this prestigious event our country was represented by Natavan Mammadova, Secretary  General of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Mammadova spoke at the panel on “Green jobs for women, green entrepreneurship”. The general secretary informed about “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities of Socio-Economic Development”, clean environment and “green development” vision of our country, and emphasized that this direction is in the target center of state programs.

Mammadova emphasized that Azerbaijan is the first country among the CIS countries to submit 3 voluntary national reports proving its commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

As the largest employer of our country, Azerbaijan State Oil Company cooperates with leading international companies such as BP to provide integrated solutions for renewable energy sources, “green hydrogen”, carbon capture, reuse, safe emission to contribute to environmental security in Azerbaijan and the world.

Pointing out ADA University as the first “Green and Smart Campus” in Azerbaijan, N. Mammadova noted that smart village and smart city projects based on green energy are being implemented in Karabakh, which is currently liberated from occupation.

“What are green jobs and green skills? There are many questions, many solutions, and a long way to go. Representing my country, our national priorities, green economy, smart villages, cities, etc. it was an honor for me to talk about it”, said N. Mammadova.
