A meeting was held between the Confederation of Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs and the State Customs Committee
A meeting of the Cooperation Council was held between the Confederation of Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs and the State Customs Committee. The meeting was co-chaired by the first deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee, Bahruz Guliyev, and the vice-president of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, Vugar Abbasov. Some issues were raised by entrepreneurs at the meeting.
In particular, it was noted that the payment of VAT during the realization of the product, difficulties arising in connection with customs clearance without AQTA certificate, high fines associated with short import declarations lead to additional burden.
It was also emphasized that during customs clearance, the examination period takes a lot of time, as a result of which the cargo is delayed at the border, which leads to an increase in costs such as additional logistics and storage.
Entrepreneurs also proposed to extend by 1 year the period of payment of funds for the goods (works, services) exported by legal and natural persons through consignment within 180 days from the date of their declaration.
Representatives of the State Customs Committee are sensitive to every issue raised and noted that they are ready to support entrepreneurs within the framework of the law on simplification of customs procedures.
At the same time, it was decided to create a working group to discuss proposals and strengthen joint efforts for economic development.
During the discussions, it was considered to meet the Bilateral Cooperation Council once a quarter.
