Opinions were exchanged on future cooperation with the International Organisation of Employers

A meeting was held with the delegation headed by Mr. Roberto Suarez Santos, Secretary General of the International Organisation of Employers, at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

Mr. Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population informed about the reforms and successes achieved in recent years in the fields of labor, employment and social protection in Azerbaijan. The ongoing active employment programs and the work done in the direction of organizing professional training according to the requirements of the labor market were brought to attention.

Extensive construction works carried out in the liberated territories of our country, as well as employment measures implemented in order to ensure the employment of the residents relocated to those territories, were mentioned. It was emphasized that in the process of reforms in the field of labor and employment, active cooperation with employers is applied in the implementation of active employment programs.

Mr. R. S. Santos expressed his satisfaction with his visit to our country and noted the importance of cooperation between institutions in the field of labor and employment. At the meeting, views were exchanged on future cooperation between the Ministry and the International Organisation of Employers.
