The first Al-Baraka summit is being held in Istanbul
The first Al-Baraka summit organized by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, with the support of Türkiye, is being held in Istanbul on the topic of “Global perspectives of the Islamic economy: Fundamentals and needs”.
President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in the opening ceremony of the event.
The Secretary General of the Forum, Mr. Yousef Khalawi, said that the ideas presented on the first day of the Forum slightly deviate from the traditional Islamic economic paradigm, and providing appropriate solutions is one of the main issues.
Drawing attention to the role of the Islamic economy in the global economy, the Secretary General highlighted the provision of experiential solutions to the main problems.
The event continues with the speeches of scientists, experts and businessmen of the Islamic world in several panels on thematic topics.
A delegation led by Mr. Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is participating in the event.
