The Confederation will participate in the preparation of position papers
The two-day seminar on “Promoting Gender Responsive and Just Transition Towards Environmental Sustainability in the Republic of Azerbaijan” organized jointly by International Labour Organization (ILO), the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, as part of the “29 Climate Talks: Road to COP29” series, has concluded.
On the second day of the event, government officials, representatives from international organizations, business owners, trade unions, and both local and international experts participated with specific initiatives.
In his speech at the seminar, Ziya Hajili, Advisor to the President of Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, stated that public-private partnerships are crucial for the development of vocational education and training. He emphasized that the Confederation will actively participate in the preparation of a position paper on the involvement of the private sector and the transition to a green economy for COP29.
He also highlighted the importance of social dialogue in increasing the effectiveness of integrating gender equality and climate policy into business practices.
