President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev met with Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Yousef Hassan Khalawi
The President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev organized a video meeting with Secretary-General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Yousef Hassan Khalawi.
With the initiative of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA), an online meeting was held on December 8, 2020 between the ICCIA Secretary-General Yousef Hassan Khalawi and President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev.
ASK President M.Musayev expressed his deep gratitude to the ICCIA Secretary-General, additionally mentioned that under the leadership of the Supreme Chief-İn-Commander of the Republic of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev, the army has attained an unparalleled victory by ending the illegal Armenian occupation and liberating our historical territories.
According to the words of the President of the Confederation, this victory means the beginning of a new stage of socio-economic development in our country, initiation of the tremendous construction process in our liberated lands. Emphasizing the actuality of attracting foreign investment from Islamic countries’ entrepreneurs M.Musayev endorses an initiative of holding joint conferences and events in this direction. In addition to that, M. Musayev provided detailed information regarding the favourable geographic position of Azerbaijan, economic sectors as well as the export potential of agricultural products in our country to Islamic states. The ICCIA Secretary-General Yousef Hassan Khalawi congratulated all the people of Azerbaijan on the glorious victory and wished a God’s mercy to the compatriots who became a martyr in this war.
Furthermore, Y.H.Khalawi noted that ICCIA is currently working to become an effective international organization, play a role as a vital investment engine in Islamic countries, support for the preparation of relevant political and strategic documents for the socio-economic development on separate countries. It has been also underscored that the organization set 28 goals for the development of the private sector especially small and medium enterprises in these countries. He underlined that in order to achieve these goals in accordance with the potential and competitive advantages of ICCIA member states, various business forums will be organized to render them into world-renowned business centres, and these countries are planned to become global centres. In that sense, Y.H.Khalawi said that Azerbaijan could play the role of global “hub” by considering the factors of geographical location and traditional competitive advantage, and exchanged views with the President of the ASK on this issue.
Noting the great significance of the mentioned issue, President of the Confederation said that our country could turn into a global centre especially for the development of organic agricultural products, in this regard would conduct consultations with relevant government agencies.
In conclusion, Y.H.Khalawi provided comprehensive information on the Arbitration Centre which is considered to be established in Istanbul, Turkey, and said that this centre will cover all Islamic states.
M.Musayev informed Yousef Hassan Khalawi that the ASK fully supports this work to be carried out by the ICCIA.
