A memorandum was signed between the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and the Union of Azerbaijani Businessmen in Georgia
A memorandum of coopearation was signed between the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and the Union of Azerbaijani Businessmen in Georgia.
The memorandum was signed by ASK President Mammad Musayev and AZEBI Board Chairman Nariman Gurbanov.
The event was held in an online format and was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev, businessmen represented at AZEBI and employees of the ASK executive office.
Azerbaijani Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Faig Guliyev congratulated our people on the glorious victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. The ambassador informed that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, our Victorious Army demonstrated great heroism and Azerbaijanis living in Georgia showed solidarity with their compatriots at that time.
Guliyev notified that Azerbaijan has invested 3.5$ billion in neighboring Georgia. In total, more than 1000 companies with Azerbaijani capital are registered in Georgia. He stressed the importance of activating the organization of these companies around AZEBI, and the timely appeal of businessmen to the embassy regarding the difficulties they face in the neighboring state.
In his speech, President of Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs’ Confederation Mammad Musayev noted that the independent Azerbaijan state has entered into a qualitatively new strategic stage embracing 2021-2030. Noting that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order approving the “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development”, Musayev emphasized that the development of the private sector, especially small and medium enterprises is among the priorities in the new strategic period. The President of the Confederation also stressed that the proposals on the importance of holding a joint business forum of businessmen from Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan in the near future.
It should be noted that the Union of Azerbaijani Businessmen in Georgia (AZEBI) was established to strengthen economic ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan, to organize Azerbaijani entrepreneurs operating in Georgia, to expand and deepen economic cooperation between members.
