meeting also discussed “Results of the Commission’s activities in 2020 and forthcoming issues”, “Azerbaijan 2030: the role of the tourism industry in the implementation of the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 2, 2021 on “National priorities on socio-economic development”.

Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the Commission Ruslan Guliyev informed regarding the issue on the agenda and read a congratulatory letter addressed to ASK President Mammad Musayev, ASK Presidium, Board of Directors and members of the ASK staff on the occasion of “Entrepreneurs’ Day”. The letter states:

Dear Musayev Mammad Gurban, dear ASK Presidium, Board members and ASK staff, dear ASK family!

I would like to remind you with pride that in accordance with the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev of April 21, 2016 on the establishment of “Entrepreneurs’ Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, “Entrepreneurs’ Day” was celebrated for the first time in Azerbaijan on April 25.

The Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, which unites thousands of business entities, including about 70 economic and social associations and unions, is one of the main public organizations in our country that defends the interests of businessmen and endorses the development of entrepreneurship. It has a unique position in the economic development of our country.

The high-value placed on entrepreneurship in state-level socio-economic development, and the great attention and care shown to the development of state-managed entrepreneurship motivate entrepreneurs to act more diligently. Of course, we face with a huge test today. The COVID-19 pandemic which threatens the world economy has not bypassed Azerbaijan. I believe that we will cope with that hurdle as well. At the same time, as a nation that achieved a victory on the 44-day Karabakh war, uniting our 200-year-old spirit, and as the owners of this nation, we will contribute to the restoration of Karabakh’s former glory. We will transform Karabakh into a tourism paradise of the world.

We are strong together. Happy holiday!

Sincerely,

Members of the Commission on Tourism and Services.
