President of Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation elected member of Board of Directors of Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture

The 37th meeting of the General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) was held today. The meeting considered the introduction of new members to the Board of Directors.

Mammad Musayev, President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture based on the election. The Secretary-General of the Chamber Yousef Khalavi underscored in his speech that they are in favour of the deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan and are working with the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation on the prospects of implementing new projects.

It is worth mentioning that the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation has been a member of the Chamber since 2015 and is the sole organization representing the Azerbaijani business community in the Islamic Chamber.

The states participating in the 37th meeting also expressed their views on the independent formation of the accounts of the fund included in the organization separately from the accounts of the Chamber as well as the events taking place in Gaza.

It should be noted that the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture was established in 1979. The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) is an affiliate of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and has 57 members from Islamic countries.

It aims to strengthen closer cooperation in trade, information technology, insurance, reinsurance, banking, investment opportunities in member countries and the promotion of joint ventures in the future.
