Agreements signed between Azerbaijani and Belarusian entrepreneurs
On May 18, a meeting for entrepreneurs was held at the Baku Expo Center with the participation of Mr. Vugar Zeynalov, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and Mr. Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the speech at the meeting, representative of ASK informed about the activities of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, its international partners and export opportunities of our country. He also spoke about the work carried out on the lands of Karabakh liberated from occupation, and about the investment attractiveness of these territories. Mr. Mikhail Myatlikov, in turn, gave extensive information about the activities of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, export missions. As a result of the meeting, 12 contracts were signed between Azerbaijani and Belarusian companies for the amount of 55 million USD. “The total amount is about 55 million. A number of contracts with dollars have been signed. New connections were being established. I think that in the coming days we will hear about new contracts,” Mikhail Myatlikov said. According to him, the main contracts were signed in the field of woodworking. These include plywood ($17.9 million), wood battens ($14.4 million), laminate flooring ($7.4 million), lumber ($2.1 million), plywood ($5.3 million), including contracts for the supply of wood with triple cellulose coating ($2.4 million). Another topical area was food. Commercial contracts were signed for the supply of dry dairy products ($2 million), baby food and other specialized products ($1.2 million). Also, a contract was signed for the supply of glass and crystal products in the amount of US dollars and a number of other contracts for the supply of various types of products to the Azerbaijani market.
