Azerbaijan’s thermal tourism opportunities will be demonstrated at the HESTOUREX exhibition

On June 20, a press conference was held on the 4th HESTOUREX World Health Tourism exhibition to be held in Baku on June 23-26. Mr. Ruslan Guliyev, one of the official organizers of the exhibition, a member of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Health and Thermal Tourism Support Association, informed the press about HESTOUREX and said that the event was attended by 60 countries from all continents, including 22 European countries, except South America. About 1000 health tourism organizations from many places will participate. Many B2B meetings were planned to be held at the exhibition, which will be held with the participation of famous thermal and health tourism centers in Türkiye. There will be many panels and special presentations during the exhibition. Participants will have a chance to hold business meetings with hospitals, clinics and tourism agencies at the exhibition venue – Baku Crystal Hall. Mr. Ruslan Guliyev noted that one of the special features of this exhibition was that the thermal tourism opportunities of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions of Azerbaijan, liberated from occupation, were also displayed here. The organizer of the HESTOUREX exhibition, the chairman of the Alanya Health Tourism Association, Mr. Ahmet Girgin, pointed out that this exhibition will play a big role in the further expansion of health tourism relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. According to him, the HESTOUREX exhibition was regularly organized in Turkey from 2017 until the start of the pandemic. The event was supported by the country’s president and 6 ministries. The reason for holding the first health exhibition in Baku after the pandemic was that there was a need to promote the rich thermal tourism resources of Azerbaijan in the world and in brotherly Türkiye.
