Azerbaijan-Georgia Business Forum Was Held In Baku

Azerbaijan-Georgia business forum was held in Baku on June 6. Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation participated in the forum as one of the organizers. Mr. Zurab Pataradze, Ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan, gave an opening speech at the event, said that the trade turnover between our countries will exceed 1 billion US dollars in 2021. According to him, Azerbaijani businessmen can easily establish business in Georgia, and the volume of investments in this country was increasing. Mr. Sarkhan Ismayilov, adviser to the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Georgia, said that 3,000 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Georgia, and 600 companies with Georgian capital were registered in Azerbaijan. Stating that Azerbaijanis were in the first place among tourists visiting Georgia, S. Ismayilov emphasized that the economic relations between the two brotherly countries were developing.

Mr. Vugar Zeynalov, vice-president of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, called the mentioned forum the next step to expand relations between businesses. Recalling the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between AZEBI and Confederation, V. Zeynalov noted that the potential for joint cooperation was high, especially the opportunities for development in the field of logistics were increasing. AZPROMO, Alat Free Economic Zone, Azersun Holding, AZEBI, Hualing Kutaisi Free Industrial Zone, GeoSilkRoad, etc. participated in the event. Mr. Fuad Humbatov, Deputy Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, made a presentation and informed about the role of the Confederation in the public-private dialogue, the measures implemented in the direction of business development. The event ended with B2B meetings.
