“KOB FEST” Exhibition-Fair Was Opened In The Seaside Boulevard

On October14, 2022 the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) has organized the last “KOB-FEST” trade exhibition-fair of this year in Seaside Boulevard  (behind the Puppet Theater).

The purpose of organizing the exhibition was to present goods and services provided by micro and small entrepreneurs (SMEs) for a wider consumer audience by expanding trade opportunities as well as to promote local products and improve skills of SMEs.

More than 800 of goods and services are offered by almost 80 micro and small enterprises, including such goods   as honey, confectionery, coffee, non-alcoholic beverages, saffron, jams, handicrafts by craftsmen and artists, knitwear, clothing, souvenirs from leather and wood, ceramics, paintings, books, educational and training services and much more.

“KOB Fest” also exhibited pottery gifts, small-sized carpets, handicrafts produced in the souvenir production enterprise operating in the village of Jojug Marjanli, Jabrayil district. It should be noted that the souvenir production enterprise was established with the joint support of the “Jojug Marjanli Coral Development Foundation”, the “Türkiye and Azerbaijan Businessmen and Industrialists” Public Union (TUIB), KOBIA, and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

Cultural and entertainment programs were offered during the festival as well.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA Mr. Orkhan Mammadov informed participants on the governmental support provided to the expansion of the sales opportunities of SMEs, KOB Fest exhibition and sales fairs.

It was noted that starting from April 2022, 7 KOB Fest exhibition and sales fairs were organized in Baku, Ganja, Sheki, Lankaran, Sumgait, Shamkir and Guba. More than 4,000 products and services of more than 4,000 varieties of products and services of more than 450 business entities and artisans were presented and sales were made possible at KOB fests.

Also at the event, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Mr. Vusal Nasirli, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency Mr. Jamaladdin Guliyev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Mammad Musayev spoke on the matter and shared their views on the importance of such exhibitions in expanding the sale-opportunities of SMEs.
