The training was held for the women who wish to start their own business in Shamakhi and Gabala
Within the framework of the “Support to Small Business Development in Azerbaijan” project implemented jointly by the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation (ASK) and Entrepreneurship Development Foundation (SBIIYF), women were trained in Shamakhi and Gabala.
In the training conducted by the International Labor Organization’s master trainer Azad Rahimov, the ladies gained some knowledge and skills on developing a business plan, analyzing the market, calculating the cost of product and service, and setting up advertising and marketing strategies.
The project, funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), aims to promote entrepreneurial thinking in women and to stimulate the creation of new businesses.
The same trainings were held in Baku and Sumgayit, Guba, Khachmaz, Mingachevir, Shirvan, Jojuq Marjanli and Neftchala districts within the framework of the project.
Finally, a small grant competition will be held among women who participated in the training and prepared business plans. 50 women winning the competition will receive financial support for entrepreneurial activity.
