The Deputy Secretary General of the ASK attended the ILO international conference in Uzbekistan
Fuad Humbatov, the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is on a visit to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on December 14, 2018. Within the framework of the visit F. Humbatov participated in three international events held in Tashkent.
The first event was the international conference titled “Future of Labor Sector: Initiatives for Decent Work on the Occasion of ILO’s 100th Anniversary” organized by the Government of Uzbekistan and the International Labor Organization (ILO) with the participation of social partners from 10 countries. Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, ILO Secretary General Guy Ryder, other officials and representatives of social partners attended the event.
During the conference, the Deputy Secretary General of ASK Fuad Humbatov met with ILO Secretary General Guy Ryder, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, the Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Adem Kula, the Deputy chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldy Rejepov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan Marat Sharshekeyev and other officials. During the meeting with the greetings of the ASK President were personally delivered to Mr.Guy Ryder. The ILO Secretary General expressed satisfaction with the similar high-level conference organized in Azerbaijan in May this year and noted the growing role of employers’ organizations in many countries.
Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan D.Rejepov declared his confidence of the important documents signed during the visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Turkmenistan in December and stated that these documents will give a great impetus to the economic cooperation between the two countries. He also expressed his satisfaction with the close involvement of the ASK in opening the Turkmen Trade House in Baku. He promised a visit of a business delegation from Turkmenistan to the opening.
Moreover, very important decisions were taken at the Business Council of Turkic Speaking States held on 14.12.18. Thus, within the framework of preparation for the 10th Anniversary Summit to be held in Baku on October 3, 2019, the Investment Fund, the Secretariat of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Istanbul, the establishment of the International Business Forum in Tashkent, establishment of a more active cooperation format of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and other countries, creation of common Turkish Trade Houses in the third countries (the first house in Hungary next year), as well as the establishment of a common Turkish bank in the future were discussed and positive decisions were made. At the same time, ASK Deputy Secretary General represented the business community of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the 25th meeting of the Executive Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO CCI). A Memorandum of Understanding was signed during the meeting between the Business Council of the Turkic Speaking States and the ECO CCI.
In the International Conference, the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Metin Kerimli.
