National CSR Award was presented to the 2018-year winners

On January 29, 2019 the winners of the first National CSR Award 2018 competition in our country were nominated at Baku Convention Center.

President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev, said at the awarding ceremony that this award was established in Azerbaijan for the first time and such competitions will be held on a regular basis. Ziyad Samadzadeh, Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sadagat Gahramanova, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, Deputy of the Parliament Kamila Aliyeva, Head of Entrepreneurship Department of the Ministry of Economy Ilgar Poladov, President of the Azerbaijan National NGOs Forum (MQF) Rauf Zeyni spoke about state support for entrepreneurship development in the country, ongoing reforms and continuous improvement of the business environment. It was noted that entrepreneurs contributed to the sustainable economic development and improvement of the overall wellbeing of the society by supporting the CSR projects in social, environmental and other spheres using favorable conditions created for them.

The main objective of the project is to increase the number of Corporate Social Responsibility projects undertaken by entrepreneurship entities in our country, and to reaffirm the commitment of CSR projects to a larger extent.

The adoption of the projects on the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was held jointly by the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, PROAKTİV PR Company, Eurasia International Relations and Research Public Union from October 1 to November 30, 2018. More than 30 companies in the field of education, banking, healthcare, mobile operators and insurance companies have submitted their projects for the past two years. The commission consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the following projects have been announced as winners in the competition:

1. Kapital Bank – Project of the year for the integration of the elderly into society;
2. International Bank of Azerbaijan – Project of the year for the inclusiveness of education;
3. BAKCELL – Project of the year for the support of young entrepreneurs;
4. Bank Respublika – Project of the year for community development;
5. AXA Mbask Insurance Company – Parent and child relationship project of the year;
6. Unibank – Project of the year in sports;
7. Səlis Logic and Speech Development Center – Social service project of the year

Note that the event was organized with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Young Accountants Public Union and the Association of Professional Financial Managers of Azerbaijan (APFM). The event was attended by government officials, MPs, entrepreneurs, PR and Marketing specialists.
