The Meeting Of The Poultry Association Was Held At The ASK

Current situation and problems of the poultry in our country was discussed in the chairmanship of the Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Zakir Azimov. The chairman of the Poultry Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aydin Veyliev and heads of the poultry processing industry were participated at the me eting.

The level of dependence of Azerbaijan on imports and the issues that hindered development in this area were discussed at the meeting.

The chairman of the Poultry Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aydin Veyliev said that gradually, imports of poultry products into Azerbaijan increases and in accordance to the results of 2018, more than 34 thousand tone poultry imported to the country. According to the World Trade Organization Azerbaijani consumers are consuming poultry from abroad amounts 38 million dollars.

Heads of enterprises engaged in processing of poultry noted that the price of poultry is 3-5 times cheaper than other meat products in Azerbaijan and demand for these products is very high therefore, increasing domestic production is important.

It was noted that large amounts of resources were invested by the public and private sector in the development of poultry sector. As the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev noted, significant work is being done to eliminate the “shadow economy” by transparent competitive environment and proper accounting setup. It is also in the interest of entrepreneurs who are officially operating and legally establishing their businesses.

Zakir Azimov emphasized that Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation is with enterprises engaged in processing of poultry and will use their capabilities to solve problems.

Heads of “Seba” OJSC, “Garagashli Broyler”, “Gilezi Gushchulug”, “Hijaz Gushchulug”, “Goychay Broyler”, “Mercan” LLC were participated at the meeting.
