Annual Human Resources Conference And Exhibition Was Held In Baku

Today, an annual conference on “Human Resources Business Partnership” was held at the Baku Congress Center. More than 300 representatives of 200 members of the Platform participated in the conference, organized by the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation (ASK) and the Azerbaijani Human Resource Professionals Platform.

Opening the conference, President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev said that the key driving force of deep economic reforms under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev is professional staff and human resources. From this point of view, the work aimed at transforming black gold into human capital in Azerbaijan is already bearing fruit. The ruling elite of transnational companies operating in our country is already dominated by Azerbaijanis. “As the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation we always show our support for the development of human resources and professional entrepreneurship for the sake of economic development of our country and we will continue this mission in the future”.

According to interesting opinions expressed at the panel discussions, future profession changes and Azerbaijan should seriously follow this process. Vugar Zeynalov, vice-president of the ASK, said that 37 specialties will be abolished and 186 new specialties will be created. Zeynalov emphasized the importance of self-education and noted that entrepreneurs need professional staff. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of universities to emphasize education in specialties oriented to modern occupations.

Farid Ahmedov, Deputy Director of Baku International Sea Trade Port, spoke about the importance of human resources in each company and its role in gaining added value. According to him, the HR strategy is important and the company’s development goes beyond that. It was emphasized that by 2030, in line with the Employment Strategy, productivity and competitiveness of the employees should be increased and there is a serious need to study the labor market.
