Chargé D’Affaires Of Libya In Azerbaijan Was The Guest Of ASK

On November 20, the delegation led by the Chargé d’Affaires of Libya in the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Isa Al Said Ahmed Mohamed visited the ASK. The guests were received by the ASK President Mr. Mammad Musayev.

Firstly, M. Musaev was pleased to welcome the representatives of the fraternal country and stressed the importance of the meeting and mentioned the opportunity to strengthen economic relations between the two countries.

Mammad Musayev noted that the guests themselves witnessed the processes taking place in our country, and added the two major events that Baku hosted a while ago.

He also informed the guests that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, emphasized the expansion of relations with Muslim countries.

At the same time, M. Musayev emphasized the trade turnover between the two countries does not correspond to the existing potential. And also mention that the meeting will stimulate the expansion of economic relations between the two countries. Also, this meeting was highlighted by the ASK President, who coincided with the Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Besides, Mr. Isa Alsaid Ahmed Mohamed expressed his gratitude to the ASK President M. Musaev for the reception. He said Libyan Prime Minister Faiz Sarac, who visited Azerbaijan within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, was accepted by Mr. Ilham Aliyev and discussed the prospects for developing relations between the two countries. The Ambassador said his contacts with the ASK were related to the specific tasks given to him by the Libyan leadership after this high-level meeting.

During the meeting, the investment climate in both countries and the potential for cooperation between businessmen from Azerbaijan and Libya were also discussed. Alsaid also mentioned that the two countries have concrete opportunities for cooperation in the energy and health sectors.

The President of the ASK informed the guest about the extensive conditions created in our country for domestic and foreign entrepreneurs, as well as the existing investment opportunities in the non-oil sector. He noted the presence of Azerbaijan’s trade relations with 150 countries around the world and the prospects for concrete cooperation with countries rich in natural resources such as Libya.

He also said that SOCAR and other oil companies, as well as companies producing equipment in this field, are members of the ASK. He expressed readiness to support the establishment of contacts with Libyan businessmen operating in the relevant field.

Mammad Musayev also invited Libyan businessmen to familiarize themselves with the available opportunities and offered to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the largest business support organization in Libya and the ASK to plan future work.

In conclusion, the guests expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the ASK for organizing the meeting and took a photo for memory.
