IV Global Conference on the Sustained Eradication of Child Labour

14-16 November 2017, Buenos Aires (Argentina)
PARTICIPATION OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS.
CRITERIA FOR REQUESTING ACCREDITATION.
A. Organizations currently on the International Labour Organization (ILO) Special List of NGOs
a. Must submit a written note addressed to the “Organizing Committee” requesting to participate in the IV Global Conference as well as the reason for such interest.
b. The note must specifically indicate that the requesting organization is already registered in the ILO Special List of NGOs (or, failing that, in the ECOSOC records).
c. Additionally, the note should detail the full name, title and contact details of the representatives for whom the accreditation is being requested.
d. All communication and its attachments must be written in English, French or Spanish; must be signed by an authority of the organization; and, must be sent by e-mail to: CIVIL@trabajo.gob.ar
B. Other Organizations
a. Only organizations that have an international character and a mandate and objectives consistent with the mandate and objectives of the ILO – as expressed in the ILO Constitution and the Declaration of Philadelphia – may apply for accreditation.
b. The organizations interested in participating must submit a written note addressed to the “Organizing Committee” requesting to participate in the IV Global Conference, as well as expressing their specific interest in the topics covered by the IV Global Conference, namely the eradication of child labour and/or forced labour, and in that context the promotion of youth employment.
c. The note must include sufficient information to demonstrate the international character of the organization, which may be demonstrated, inter alia, by the geographical variety of members, governance structures, and geographical diversity of activities.
d. Additionally, the note should detail the full name, title and contact details of the representatives for whom the accreditation is being requested.
e. Only requests from non-profit organizations will be considered.
f. All communication and its attachments must be written in English, French or Spanish; must be signed by an authority of the organization; and, must be sent by e-mail to: CIVIL@trabajo.gob.ar
g. The International Labour Office will verify compliance with the above requirements and the Organizing Commission will make a decision on the basis of such verification.

  1. Organizations with a presence in Argentina

These organizations are not required to have an international outlook, and should refer to sections A and B, as appropriate, with that exception, which must be communicated in a note addressed to the “Organizing Committee”.

The application does not grant the requesting organization the automatic right to participate. The selection process will take into account the need to have as wide a geographical representation as possible, as well as the capacity of the facilities. Only requests received before 24:00 (GMT -03: 00) on October 2nd, 2017 will be taken into account. All applications will be answered no later than October 13th, 2017. The Government of Argentine reserves, in all cases, the right to send an invitation. The invited organizations must cover all costs related to their participation.
