ASK “Tourism” Commission Formed Again

A meeting of the “Tourism” Commission under the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.

Vice President of the AzerbaijanEntrepreneursConfederation Vugar Zeynalov congratulated the guests on April 25 “Entrepreneur’s Day” and talked about the state care provided to the entrepreneurs in the country and expressed that the newly established State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan will serve the development of this sphere. Zeynalov said that the ASK “Tourism” commission should be further activated, stressing that the commission should make interesting proposals. It was noted that tourists should unite and be interested in large investing.

It was noted at the meeting that there is a need to revise the composition of the members of the “Tourism” commission, which is part of the ASK. The proposal was approved by many votes. Then chairman of the commission Ruslan Guliyev announced the list of members of the new commission. A commission of 17 people has been re-formed. The vice-chairman of the commission was re-elected. Founder and Chief Executive Officer of “Balion Group” Bashir Hajiyev was elected as the first deputy. Other deputies were NasibUsubov, head of the Baku Ala Conte travel tourism company and Aziz Shiriyev, executive director of Baku Travel-Tourism LLC.

Then the Commission discussed strategic directions and action plans.

Discussion on the implementation of the Strategic Road Map on the development of specialized tourism industry in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the cooperation of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation with the state structures in this field were also discussed.

Other speakers said more than 50 hotels were opened recently in the country. A favorable environment for tourism development has been created. Simplifying the visa issuance and green stripes at crossings now. and intensive work on such issues.
