A Seminar Was Held At Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation

On August 08, 2018 a seminar in the title of “Belarusian Experience in Creating a Favorable Business Environment. Advocacy Course” was held with the participation member of the Council of Entrepreneurs under the President of the Republic of Belarus Yaroslav Romanbuk, in cooperation with the National Entrepreneurs (Employers) Confederation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Note that, Yaroslav Romanbuk is also the head of the Strategic Analytical Center.

The seminar consisted of two sessions on business development in Belarus, the role of business and public associations, research and analytical centers given in the “Doing Business” report, state support for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, the current legislative framework in this area, the implementation of government programs and their effectiveness, financial sources and conditions for the development of SMEs, property registration, regulation of the antimonopoly regime, etc. Besides, some information about the activities of Working Group on Amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Belarus (February 2018 to the present day) and Working Group on Enterprise Development Strategy (until 2030) were delivered during the seminar. Furthermore, different and similar peculiarities in the development of Belarus and Azerbaijan’s economy were brought to the attention of the seminar participants. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Economic Reform Analysis and Communication Center, Fruit Producers and Exporters Association, Independent Consumers Union etc. and Chairman of the Women Entrepreneurs Association Sakina Babayeva attended the seminar.
